PBL High School’s first Student of the Month for the 2016-17 school year is Ryley Foellner. His parents are Rich and Nikki Foellner of Loda.
In her nomination of the senior, dual credit Computer Applications teacher, Leann McPike said, “Ryley is a very mature and responsible student. He tends to be an analytical thinker which is rare in today’s student.”
McPike continued, “Ryley goes above and beyond on his school work and sets high expectations for himself. He completes his assignments before their expected due date and is willing to help other students by answering questions they have about their work. He has a genuinely loving personality with high morals and ethics. He is very well liked by his peers.
Ryley’s extracurricular activities include football and National Honor Society.
Outside of school, he has helped coach youth football and has volunteered in the July 4th Youth Football lemonade shake-up stand.
Ryley is planning to attend college with the goal of becoming a physical therapist
